Calamity steals the day, nestled in to a paranoid dismay, searching for the solace in waking - yet none is found, he needs it now, before forever comes to steal away his weary gaze.

the warmth of everything that has come to fall to the careless grasp of time. Blur out the suffering and leave me blind, devoid of tranquility in the grandest of designs.
Shape the voice to my name, framed in pitches of dissonance. I found a home in the hell I've been living in.

The warmth of home must feel so distant, but then again, did you ever know one at all?
Think about it again, that car ride home from the hospital bed. You were saved, that was then, but look at you now, fitting the fucking statistic.
I'm not an author telling stories, and you're not a prophet writing scripture. Our gaze is blinded by a haze of ignorance, as if it sees a clearer picture.
I used to think it was a choice - I thought you loved it.
Some things I just don't understand, and that's the reason I'm above it.. Right?
Shut it from my brain, now that you're gone. Everything I don't understand is all you left when you carried on.
